Our April 2025 Service Project at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Southern Utah was an energizing success. Family and friends joined us in this collaborative project for MenHealing to provide service work for abused and neglected animals. We marked our 5th Anniversary Best Friends visit by doubling the number of registrants and expanding to include youth. This year’s team ranged in age from 8 to 82 years. Our volunteer service contributed valuable maintenance of animal care facilities, and allowed members of our team to create profound experiences during our direct interactions with animals.

[MenHealing as an organization places] a huge emphasis on connection and not being isolated, and not healing by yourself. Being able to have this huge group of friends, kids, family… It just hones in on that point.

I’m really grateful for Best Friends helping family and other animals. I love animals and I love people who take care of animals.
