Best Friends is the largest animal rescue sanctuary in the United States, occupying 3,700 acres in southern Utah. On any given day, this national treasure provides safe haven for approximately 1,600 abused and neglected animals, including dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, goats, pigs, and wildlife. In 2021, several Weekend of Recovery Alumni joined two MenHealing staff for a weekend of volunteer service at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. This was a profound experience with survivors of sexual harm providing caring assistance to animals in need of compassionate care. 2025 was our 5th annual visit to Best Friends, having grown into a collaborative Service Project consisting of Staff, Alumni, Family, and now even including youth between ages 8 – 18. A powerful alliance has evolved between Best Friends and MenHealing. We are honored that two individuals affiliated with Best Friends who are also talented musicians will be featured as the closing performance for our October 26th Benefit Concert.
