Connection with other male survivors can make a huge difference in one’s journey.
The use of the term “male” includes all cisgender and trans individuals who are masculine-identifying or self-identify as male. All sexual orientations are welcome.
Alumni Peer Support Groups
Those who have attended a Weekend of Recovery (WOR) or Day of Recovery (DOR) are eligible to register for our online peer-led Alumni Support Groups. The Alumni Peer Support Groups are 15 sessions, running every other week, for 30 weeks total.
“Peer Support Groups through MH have helped me move from scared and guarded to living and loving. These men are the brothers I never had. Life affirming and changing.”

Alumni Peer Support Groups provide ongoing support for men recovering from sexual harm. Participants in these groups will have an opportunity to decrease isolation and build connection in a safe and supportive environment with other men survivors.
The Alumni Peer Support Group provides a healing experience based on skills-building, psychoeducation, and community-building and is NOT to be construed as psychotherapy or psychiatric services or as a substitute for personal therapy.
Peer Leaders are survivors just like you. They are volunteers at MenHealing and have taken special training on facilitating peer support groups. Peer Leaders have supervision by clinical staff for the duration of the group.

Partner Peer Support Groups
Our goal for the Partner Peer Support Groups is to provide you, the partner, with support and understanding about how you are impacted by the sexual harm done to your loved one. In this group you are the focus. You have supported the male survivor in your life and now it’s time for you to get the support you need.
“It’s his experience, it’s our story.”

Our hope is that after the group you ( the partner) will continue to engage in healing activities and become part of a community.
The topics of the group include: coping skills, understanding the impacts and reactions of sexual harm on the survivor and you, taking care of yourself, grief and loss, healing, loving a survivor, intimacy, and compassion.
The next Partner Peer Support Group starts on Thursday September 11th at 5pm PT, 8pm ET and will meet for 8 sessions. Registration for this Group opens on June 11 and closes on August 28.

“I think there is a special magic about doing healing work with other peers. People who just simply get it and who often deeply know and understand what I am saying just as I am saying it.”

The Community Peer Support groups are 8 sessions, running every other week, 16 weeks total and will follow a curriculum designed to support male survivors with creating a foundation for their recovery from sexual harm.
Our goal for the Community Peer Support Groups is to help participants decrease isolation and build connection through learning and interacting in a safe and supportive environment with other men survivors.
This group starts on Thursday July 24, 5pm PT, 8pm ET. This 90-minute group will run for 8 sessions, every other week for 16 weeks total. Registration for this group closes July 10.
