👥 Facilitators: Peer Leaders Malia and Talia, supervised by MenHealing clinical staff

Andrew Vinyard (he/him) is a pillar of MenHealing’s community, both as a survivor bringing his story to light, and as a Peer Leader, offering healing and understanding to folks in our Support Groups. Last year, he was one of 12 artists featured at our Courage to Create stage reading + fundraiser, and in 2021, Andrew shared “Being Robbed: A Letter to My Father” for a collaboration between MenHealing & The Men’s Story Project. We’re so grateful to have such a compassionate, creative soul in our community!

In the stunning animated film The Wild Robot (2024), a droid stranded in the wilderness must outgrow her original programming to survive. It’s a powerful metaphor for moving past the rigid ways we were “built” to act and finding our true strength through connection. It’s a beautiful reminder that healing happens when we choose community over isolation.
Where to watch: Streaming on Netflix and Peacock, or available to rent on Amazon Prime and Apple TV.

We are deeply appreciative of the Utah-based RLC Family Foundation for a very generous financial gift to support the work of our H.O.M.E. Project to reach incarcerated survivors. This grant will fund:
-
- Spanish language translation of the Healing Outreach tMen Everywhere e-book (now available in 1430 US correctional facilities, reaching over 1 million incarcerated individuals);
- Our Program Evaluation Project to monitor user data;
- Distribution of H.O.M.E to family members of incarcerated male survivors;
- Creation of a 2nd edition of H.O.M.E. that will be adapted for community-based service providers.

- Our Virtual Kintsugi Workshop with our friends at Saprea next week is now FULL! Stay tuned for more updates – we are humbled by the positive response from our amazing community, and hope to share more opportunities to share space and create art together soon.

We’re thrilled to share that Zidia Gibson has stepped into a new role as Digital Outreach Director, transitioning from her work as our Social Media Specialist. Zidia has been a driving force behind how MenHealing shows up online, and this new role reflects both her impact and our growing online presence. Huge congratulations to Zidia. We’re lucky to have her!

After 25 years of working with the Weekends of Recovery program, Trisha Massa has departed her part-time contracted position as MenHealing’s Outreach Coordinator. She is now working as Community Liaison with Trinity United Methodist Church in Hackettstown, NJ. as well as serving as Director of Hackettstown Middle School Drop-in Center. Thank you so much for all you’ve helped us achieve, Trisha!
P.S. – It’s not too late to join our movement to provide community and healing for EVERY survivor of sexual trauma.

If you are not already a monthly recurring donor, we invite you to consider joining our Monthly Giving Circle. Becoming a monthly recurring donor at any amount is a simple way YOU can help MenHealing as we reach more men who have experienced sexual harm and their loved ones.
